Who We Are

At YWCA Malden, we are committed to empowering the next generation through WorkSmart, a dynamic Career Readiness Program designed for high school students. In partnership with MassHire, WorkSmart equips youth with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in today’s workforce.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing students—especially those who are low-income, first-generation, international, and English language learners—with hands-on experiences that prepare them for real-world success. Through career exploration, professional development workshops, mentorship, internships, and job shadowing, students gain the tools to make informed decisions about their future.

By fostering 21st-century skills, leadership, and financial independence, WorkSmart ensures that young people not only envision success but achieve it—paving the way for brighter futures and stronger communities.

Join us in shaping the workforce of tomorrow!
